The challenge
Today, hundreds of thousands of Swedes live with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD), which bring significant challenges to their daily lives. This impact is felt not only by those diagnosed but also by their families and communities. Individuals with ADHD, in particular, often face long waiting periods for appropriate support, leading to feelings of misunderstanding, alienation, and hopelessness. These challenges can make it difficult to maintain a well-functioning life. Additionally, navigating the complex landscape of available support and tools can feel overwhelming and confusing.
Turning challenge into opportunity
The first steps towards the creation of Ment™ were taken in 2014 when Underbara ADHD® was created to increase awareness and break down prejudices surrounding ADHD. The platform aims to demonstrate that with the right support, ADHD can be a significant strength and asset. Since its inception, Underbara ADHD has played a crucial role in reshaping the view of ADHD in Sweden but also provided training to thousands of individuals, including family members, people with the diagnosis, educators, businesses, authorities, and even the Government’s Office. And based on the foundation of knowledge, insight,s and network from this work, the development of Ment™ was initiated in 2022 with a beta version launched a year later.
Ment offers an innovative digital service designed to simplify and enhance the daily lives of individuals living with or affected by ADHD. The platform is tailored to meet each person’s unique needs, offering timely guidance, coordination, and access to appropriate support.
